Amit is the Vice President of Product at Microsoft. He leads the development of Microsoft’s Communications Products (Teams and GroupMe). He also serves on the Nike Strength board. He is deeply involved in organizing a yearly conference – PMCon that has brought together product managers from across Microsoft. Previously, Amit led Product (Director) for News Feed at Facebook / Meta. Prior to that he was the Head of Product for Real Time Communications at Google. In the 7.5 years at Google, Amit was instrumental in the development of many products like Google Meet (Hangouts), Duo, and WebRTC. Before that he was the Director of Product at Jambool (startup) later acquired by Google. Amit holds a Masters in Computers Science from Florida State University and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring aspiring product managers.
